What’s your idea for improving lives in Saxford?

Todd Lane Tool Library is like a normal library but rather than lending books, it will lend tools. As well as lending tools, we will host regular workshops where members of the community teach each other skills and how to use the tools. This will give people the skills to repair and improve their possessions and houses. This is important in Todd Lane which is a particularly deprived area where landlords often do not carry out repairs on time or up to standard.

How would you spend the £500?

The £500 will be spent on 1 year of liability insurance (£130), 20 packs of reusable personal protective equipment (£140) and 3 second hand power tools that we can’t find by donations - hand circular saw (£70), tile cutter (£60) and a pillar drill (£90).
